Project Management
I've spent the past 5 years climbing the ranks of creative agencies and corporate creative departments to grow from coordinator, to producer, to production manager. I am a stereotype defying people-oriented introvert (say that 5 times fast!), and I love being the central hub of information helping teams breathe life into a project.

I collaborated closely with director JP Bolles on this spot for Shopify. I was responsible for managing post-production: budgeting, scheduling, proposing and booking the team, casting voice over talent, communicating with client, synthesizing feedback, reviewing and QCing cuts, and keeping the team on track through final delivery.

At video-based training company Kantola, I managed a team of in-house creatives and produced videos on the topics of harassment prevention and DEI. Kantola was successfully acquired by a high growth B2B software company called Traliant in January 2024, significantly increasing Traliant's annual revenue.
Take a look at the clip below to see the outcome of a DEI interview shoot that I line produced for Kantola in late 2023 and post produced for Traliant in early 2024. Similarly to the Shopify spot, I handled all aspects of budgeting, scheduling, resourcing, and project management for the videos in this Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion course.
People Management
Building relationships is what makes work worthwhile. Once I started producing and leading a team of internal and external teammates at Sandwich, becoming a people manager was the natural next step. Kantola offered me that opportunity and I was excited to jump in. Since 2022 I've been managing a small team of direct reports, providing mentorship and establishing priorities while maintaining morale during busy periods and slow periods alike.
Giving actionable feedback is a huge part of what I do in a supervisory position. I am constantly giving direction and reviewing cuts in Frame.io or Dropbox Replay, both to make our product better and to help my reports grow their skills. Below you'll find an example of a few comments I left on v1 rough cuts. In my current role, I give feedback in a similar capacity on all aspects of production and post-production (including some design projects), blending my creative and technical skillsets.
Creative Production
Before I started managing projects on a large scale, I was a Creative Producer at SAAS company Jellyvision. I spent ~3 years filming, editing, and animating videos for sales and marketing collateral. I was also responsible for shooting studio portraits of new hires and I regularly took photos around the office for our website and social media pages.
During my tenure at Jellyvision, our VP of Creative recommended me for a freelance photography job for a non-profit organization called Big Shoulders Fund. The photos I took documenting the vibrant personalities of students at Leo High School were advertised on buses around Chicago to improve enrollment.

I eventually left Chicago for Los Angeles and said goodbye to Jellyvision . During my first three weeks living here, I freelanced as a video editor at BuzzFeed in Hollywood and edited a video that now has 1.4M views on YouTube.
